Child Protection Policies and Procedures
We want all children to be able to enjoy our activities to the full and take care over our responsibilities towards them. Our three central policies are;
- Child Protection Policy
- Policy of Safe Storage of Personal Data
- Policy on Recruitment of Ex-offenders
Further to these, our process for recruiting leaders and helpers for youth and children’s work is based on guidance issued by the Church of England and other regulatory bodies. All those involved are issued with and expected to be familiar with our ‘Child Protection in Practice Guidelines’ which are reviewed annually.
If you would like to join our large team of youth and children’s helpers we would be delighted to hear from you. Application packs are available from the church office.
Everyone aged 17 and over involved in youth and children’s work is required to undergo a Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure check. Currently our umbrella body for volunteer applications is Peters Research Ltd.
